Tuesday 7th September 2010

Thanks to Phil for the photo.
Not updated in a while. I'm still playing at Play Nicely and learning a lot. (website is a bit place holder at present. It's something I'll be working on in the coming weeks)
The sudden surge of page visits tells me I'm on the Indexhibit home page today which is nice.
Hopefully I'll be able to squeeze into the photo studio soon and get some new things up. It's been a while since much new happened round here - it's starting to get dusty.
All the love. x
Monday 16th August 2010
I had my first day working at Play Nicely today. It was good.
I'll be there here for a while.
Friday 23rd July 2010

I've been waiting a while...
Monday 28th June 2010
Back home from a long weekend at D&AD New Blood.
Tired
Friday 18th June 2010

Some of my work was recently exhibited at YODEX (the Young Designers Exhibition) in Taipei.
It's the degree show opening tonight. Should be good fun. It runs for a week and there's a lot of sexy stuff there. Check it!

My god.

Print finishing is long
Spent much of today folding, sticking and wrapping & folding, sticking and wrapping & folding, sticking and wrapping & folding, sticking and wrapping folding, sticking and wrapping & folding, sticking and wrapping & folding, sticking and wrapping &... you get the idea
Probably finished around 500-800 today. Maybe more. Only another 1000 or so to go. The tips of my fingers feel raw and bones in my hands that I didn't realise I had ache.
Need to get another point and shoot camera. The one in my phone just doesn't really cut it, does it.
Tuesday 25th May 2010
Traveling home without my phone charger. Phone dead.
Friday 7th May 2010

Train cats. Cats on a Train
(edit 1st July 2010 - Much better title...)
Saturday 1st May 2010
Mark at Creative Review was nice enough to post up my screen print on the CR Blog the other day. There's a really great film showing flight paths around Europe when the Volcano blew it's top as well.
Wednesday 28th April 2010

Added a poster I screen printed last week on the back of my late night ramblings about contrails. Not chemtrails... I'm not so sure about them.
Saturday 24th April 2010
Last week I was a part of the Junior Fellow Show, which Dylan and I also branded. Dylan took these photos for me, because my camera is all broken since I sat on it ages ago.

This was me.

This was Jenny Campbell's piece which riffed on the colours Dylan and I had used in our TO DO list.

Went to a pub quiz tonight. We came second. So close. Did you know that Vladimir Putin co wrote Judo: History, Theory, Practice?... I did.
Here is he.

I wouldn't mess with him... Obviously. He's got a massive gun.
Tuesday 20th April 2010
Spent the morning screen printing a quick and dirty poster for the contrails thing I was thinking of last night.
As soon as I can blag a camera off someone I'll take a couple of photos.
Monday 19th April 2010

Spent some time in the photo studio shooting some things. Updated the site with a couple of new projects. It's nice and sunny.
I think I like the sky more with no contrails...
When was the last time the sky was completely free of contrails? Around 9/11 everything shut down for a few days... but before that... it must have been about 40 years. Interesting.
I love my shoes. It's like someone invaded my mind and made what they saw there.
Sunday 11th April 2010
Rounders. A little bit of sun burn. Putting USB keys through the wash. Hungry.
Friday 9th April 2010

Yep. We do.
Friday 26th March 2010
Best thing I've seen all week.
Thursday 18th March 2010
I'm slow at updating... last friday some friends collaborated with some graphics students from bath to set up a show. I went down last friday and spent most of the night drinking their beer and playing street fighter. The show was really good and showed a whole load of interesting and playful things. It's been picked up by Creative Review and put onto their blog. There's a photo of me playing with Robin Cox's UV reactive posters, which for me at least, never got old.
Have a look see here.
Sunday 14th March 2010

Mmmmmmmmm... Lower case Gs.

Tuesday 2nd March 2010

Been working on some quick vectors for a club night Dylan is doing some graphics for. It's all themed around Alice in Wonderland. I think these are being blown up and pasted on the wall and around about the place.
Going to London on friday to see The worst condition is to pass under a sword which is not one's own by Michael Rakowitz at the Tate Modern. It's a show exploring links between Saddam Hussein's regieme and Science fiction. The similarities between his elite guard's helmets and Darth Vader's blow my mind. Exciting.
Sunday (still the night before really...) 28th Feb 2010
Uploaded the B-Line page. Lots of images.
Went to see a performance at the Arnolfini by Harminder Singh called The Modes Of Al-Ikseer tonight. Depeche Mode, neon lights, lasers, bhangra drummers and a giant pool of milk. It was pretty incredible, and was one of the strangest things I've ever seen. It's touring round the UK. Go and see it if you're looking for something different to do of an evening. More info here.
Hmmmm. leap years. I'd like to meet someone who only had a birthday every four years. There's a project in that fo sho'.

Friday 26th Feb 2010

A little while ago my good friend, Patch King asked if I wanted to be in a video he wanted to make for the Dorset Cereal simple pleasures short film competition. He said he'd pay me in food. I said yes.
Watch the video and vote for it here! I had fun making this.
oh, if anyone else wants to pay me with food for something, I'm well up for that. I like cakes, meats and spicy foods. Thankyou. Also coffee and nice beer.
Thursday 25th Feb 2010
Added some of my project work up. More to come.
Wednesday 24th Feb 2010

"Look! It's moving. It's alive. It's alive... It's alive, it's moving, it's alive, it's alive, it's alive, it's alive, IT'S ALIVE!"
Dr. Henry Frankenstein, Frankenstein (1931)
After far, far too much time, I'm back up and running... Just about. Every thing that was on my old site is lost forever, as it all got sucked into an internet black hole when I had my fun and games with my ex hosting company. I'm back on the Indexhibit; It's neat, tidy and does what it does really well. A bit of a band wagon, but I'm in good company. All my older work will be up soon and I've been working on some exciting new projects which I'll photograph and get up ASAP. I'll publish all the projects in one big Blitzkrieg, rather than letting them through in drips and drabs as I complete the pages. Much more exciting that way.
It's good to be back.
More soon.
