Vrchaeology: Prologue is a room-scale virtual reality experience developed for HTC Vive. The experiment was designed to explore using various tools and material properties as well as to develop environmental storytelling. Vrchaeology was recently greenlit on Steam.
The experience begins with the player detonating explosives revealing an abandoned mine shaft, before physically breaking through rock, wood and earth with a variety of tools. Players hold a lantern to illuminate the inside of the abandoned mine while they dig for long forgotten bones before gradually cleaning them with a brush. The experience ends with the player being trapped by a cave in.
I was responsible for contributing to various areas of the development, including ux, game design and art direction.
